Makeup for Glasses

So if you are like me and have been blessed to be able to wear $400 dollar accessories (aka glasses) then you may have noticed that your makeup appears differently when you wear your glasses compared to when you are not. Your glasses distort what everyone else sees. If you do the same makeup routine for glasses as you do without glasses your results will not have the intended outlook.
Here are some tips to what I have found with trial and much error.
1. Don't put eyeliner on your lower line.
Remember glasses distort what you see, they give you the ability to see better, but it also distorts your eyes making them appear squinty. Instead, put a brightener on your lower line Some people use white. I actually use a lip liner that is a light pink. This will make your eyes look bigger. When you have your glasses on your eyes will appear to be the same size as before you were wearing the glasses. If you do decide to wear a eyeliner do not make it a thick line; also do not draw your line to the inside of your eye, this technique will cause your eyes to look small and dull.
2. Don't put mascara on the entire length of your eyelashes.
Have you ever finished your makeup and put on your glasses and instantly there is a smudge on the glass?  I have done this so many times, most of us have eyelashes that touch the frames causing smudges on our glasses. Instead of fully coating your lashes with mascara from top to bottom place your brush at the base of your lashes and gently shake your brush in a forward and backward motion. This causes your lashes to curl keeping them away from your rims. This also gives the allusion of thicker lashes without fear of smudging ones glasses.
3. Darker eyelids and a darker eyeliner one the top of ones lid is a must.
If you put darker eyeliner and darker eye shadow on you top lid this makes an allusion of lengthening the eye. When you put more eyeliner or eyeshadow on you cannot tell you are putting more on than usual.
4. Conceal underneath you eye.
Even if you don't have dark circles under your eyes a reflection off your lenses will cause you to look like you have one. Put a liquid concealer a couple shades lighter than your foundation and place in a triangle shape from the inside of your eye, to the cheek bone, and lastly to the outer edge of you eye. Dab, don't rub the concealer till it blends with your skin.
These are just some quick tips that I have found that work for me, hope this helps!
